The Boycott of French Cameroun’s Presidential Elections in Ambazonia and the End of Colonial Hegemony

As citizens of French Cameroon go to the polls tomorrow for an already rigged presidential election, the citizens of the sovereign state of Southern Cameroons, Ambazonia, which is witnessing an independence war declared by the colonialist Paul Biya, shall be observing the deadliest ghost towns operation ever.

There has been a total boycott of the electioneering process and a complete shutdown in the territory since Sunday, September 30, 2018. Most citizens have vacated the territory, while the few who stayed behind have completely remained indoors although the week.

The atmosphere during the week has been characterized by sporadic gun battles, as Ambazonian Restoration forces confronted colonial terrorists in different locations across the land in an effort to stop campaign activities for the illegal presidential election and push out the genocidal and occupational forces from Yaoundé.

Sunday, October 7, 2018, is the election day. So far, so good for the freedom fighters and the determined people of Ambazonia. Out of the 8 colonial Presidential candidates, none can boast of holding a real campaign rally in Ambazonia. Even the main opposition party the Social Democratic Front (SDF), whose main support base is Southern Cameroons, coupled with its youthful Ambazonian born candidate Joshua Osih, has been unable to hold a campaign rally in the territory.
The Boycott of French Cameroun’s Presidential Elections in Ambazonia and the End of Colonial Hegemony
Barrister Akere Muna, an Ambazonian born and the only presidential candidates who succeeded to smuggled himself into the city of Victoria for a so-called campaign rally, was immediately forced by Restoration Forces to flee back to La Republique du Cameroun. The almighty colonial incumbent, bloody dictator and aggressor, Paul Biya, who nicodemously planned to campaign in the Ambazonian capital City of Buea, had to call it off in the last minutes for what inside sources described as “security reasons”.

Certainly, there was the fear of the unknown, as a special battalion of Amba boys – the Ghost Restoration Army, were already on standby to welcome him in Buea. At the end of the day, Mr. Biya’s slave boys and girls from Yaoundé only succeeded in holding a party meeting and not a campaign rally, with party delegates ferried in from the colonial economic capital of Douala under very tight colonial protection and at the mercy of the restoration forces.

As the colonial campaigns end tonight, the world is witness to the fact that no electoral campaigns took place in Ambazonia and of course there can be no election in the territory tomorrow. Political electioneering is a process that starts with the registration of voters, campaigns and ends with voting and declaration of results. Consequently, Ambazonians and the international community do not expect to see concocted voting figures and results from the territory by the colonialists tomorrow. Of course, that shall be resisted and considered as null and void, even by the other candidates involved in the colonial election.
By boycotting the process from the registration of voters, campaigns and voting tomorrow, the people of Southern Cameroons are passing a very strong message to the international community that; La Republic du Cameroun no longer has legitimacy over the Ambazonian people. In fact, the ongoing lockdown of the territory since September 30 under the instructions of the revolutionary leadership and restoration forces is a testament to the fact that Yaoundé has lost colonial hegemony over Ambazonia. Mr. Biya and his cohorts cannot continue to massacre the sovereign people of Ambazonia, just to prove that they have control over a territory they have lost control of.

After the boycott of the last stage of the electioneering process (voting) tomorrow, Southern Cameroonians the world over, must have sent a clear message to the world that they don’t belong to French Cameroun. They shall, therefore, be expecting the international community especially the United Nations and the African Union to do the needful by immediately commencing the process of complete decolonization and total restoration of the independence of Southern Cameroons, as backed by its own legal and working instruments/documents.

Paul Biya, the colonialist and already known winner of that election, who has vehemently detested any form of negotiation with the Ambazonian revolutionary leadership, cannot be allowed to resume his genocide on the sovereign people of Ambazonia after the elections in his country tomorrow.

HE AND HIS COLONIAL COHORTS HAVE LOST POLITICAL LEGITIMACY OVER THEIR COLONY OF SOUTHERN CAMEROONS, AMBAZONIA.
