We have been told of a certain conference in Yaounde, the political capital of La Republique dubbed the “Diaspora Conference”. We are told this conference targets Camerounese and Southern Cameroonians from the diaspora to attend even those with dual nationality.
La Republique says those with dual nationality should not bother about visa as they could receive one upon arrival. The conference is said to be centred around the “Anglophone Crisis”. La Republique claims diplomats will be present in the conference and their new songbird Tikum Mbah Azonga has been the one pushing the idea on social media asking the diaspora to attend.
So La Republique now recognised those with dual nationality? So they now see the importance of the diaspora? All these moves from La Republique are a political scam. It is a makeshift to show the diplomats and the international community that they are doing something. La Republique has seen how forceful the diaspora has become and now they are organising a scam, a conference that we know will be tailored to sing Biya praises and speak within certain lines.
It is no doubt that the diaspora has some lunatics CPDM members. This conference will be another gathering of CPDM members in the diaspora to sing and say what the regime wants them to say. They will not be able to question power. In fact, those to speak in the conference have been arranged already and so the impression the diplomats will go will be that the diaspora is in support of government efforts.
We are told the government is using such as a dialogue platform. This regime has completely lost. They have lost ideas and are now more confused than ever.
It is worthy to note and sound this early alarm, no Southern Cameroons diaspora will attend such a political scam to spur lies and sing government song. The people of Southern Cameroons have been so clear on what they want:
1. Release all Southern Cameroonians in Kondengui, Buea jails.
2. Stop the continued arrest and harassment of our people
3. Call a genuine dialogue with the leaders of the Consortium, other stakeholders in the presence of a third party
4. The dialogue should be able to get to the point where the people decide their future through a referendum.
Those are the only peaceful political path without which nothing will change in Southern Cameroons and of course the liberations groups will be forced to escalate the crisis to levels we do not like.
Therefore, all Southern Cameroonians should boycott such a useless conference. Nothing will come out of it apart of the regime using your image to make political gains.
