The 29th African Union (AU) summit, to be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, will be closed after tomorrow, Tuesday 04 July.


The Heads of State and Government, members of the African Union, are expected at the latest tomorrow Monday, July 3, 2017 at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia for the last act of the 29 th summit of the AU.

The draft resolutions taken during the committee's work since last Tuesday, June 27, will be subject to probable appreciation and adoption by the Heads of State and Government during the Conference which will see the parcipation of the latter on Monday 03 on Tuesday 04 July 2017.

Cameroon will not be represented at this Conference by its President of the Republic, Paul Biya. The latter chose to send as his personal representative, Philemon Yang, the Prime Minister, head of the Cameroonian government.

The search for ways and means to fight the economic and security crisis that is going through some member countries and the reform of the AU are the main subjects on the agenda of the Conference of Heads of State and Government. The first high mass for the Chadian Moussa Faki Mahamat, elected six months ago as head of the AU Commission to replace the South African Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
