On June 30, 2017, President of the Republic Paul BIYA received Mr. Jay Ireland, President of Africa of the American group General Electric. On the menu of exchanges, the investment plan of the American firm in Cameroon.

The group has a drinking water supply project whose production through Camwater is estimated at 55,000 cubic meters per day. This project is financed to the tune of 32 billion CFA francs by Exim Bank USA with principal arranger the Société Générale de Paris.

Jay Ireland was accompanied at the United Nations Ambassador's Unit in Cameroon, Michael Steven HOZA, as well as a dozen collaborators.
