Mariah Carey's 35-carat diamond engagement ring isn't the only thing on the move. The pop diva stepped out in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 29, with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka days after news broke of her split from James Packer.

Carey was photographed arriving and leaving Catch restaurant with Tanaka, who was rumored to be one of the causes of tension in Carey and Packer's relationship. (A source told Us, however, that the close pals weren't romantically involved, and that Carey "didn't cheat.")

Inside the L.A. hostspot, the "Hero" singer chatted with another close friend and posed for a sweet photo together, which Carey later shared on Instagram, breaking her brief social media silence.

She wore an enormous butterfly ring on her left ring finger and switched her $10 million engagement ring over to her right hand, wearing it loosely midway down her middle finger.
