Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton were among a group of spectators in the VIP area prevented from leaving the Volkswagen Arena following Manchester United's 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg after a suspect package was found in a car park outside the stadium.
They had to wait for approximately 15 minutes as police looked at the package. They were then allowed to leave after the police were satisfied it was not a bomb, a Wolfsburg official said.![]() |
