Barcelona are said to be on the hunt to seal a deal for the transfer return of Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin as a replacement for veteran star Dani Alves.

The Catalan giants are putting together a long list of targets for various areas of their squad, also including Everton centre-back John Stones, according to Goal.

Bellerin’s fine form since becoming a regular for Arsenal last season has now made his old club take notice, in a saga that could bring back memories of Barca’s pursuit of Cesc Fabregas during his time at the Emirates Stadium.

Known for their pride in bringing through homegrown players, the 20-year-old’s rise to one of the top full-backs in the Premier League has seemingly made him an ideal candidate to eventually replace the 32-year-old Alves, whose contract expires at the end of next season.
