The SDF party yesterday called on an all Anglophone conference or dialogue forum scheduled to take place from the 18th to the 19th of August 2017 in the South West Regional Capital, Buea.
The announcement was made public yesterday in Yaounde at the National assembly by the Social Democratic Front (SDF) parliamentary group during a press briefing.
It should be noted that following the continuous violence and ghost towns rocking the two English Regions of Cameroon which has caused enormous business stagnation, material damages and deaths, the Civil Societies in Cameroon have mounted enormous pressure on parliamentarians to call on HE Paul Biya to organize a National Forum so as to seek solutions to end the present stalemate especially as parents will not be happy seeing their children at home again when schools reopen for the 2017/2018 academic year.
It is against this backdrop that the SDF party parliamentary group organized a press conference at the National Assembly to announce the preparatory meeting for all Cameroonians of English extraction before the commencement of the next academic year.
Hon. Mbah Ndam says “We have to know exactly the elites that will attend; our Fons and Chiefs, our Academicians Members of parliament and all other Anglophone elites”
All eyes and attention is now tilted to Buea for what will be the outcome of the consultation meeting expected to seek a way forward to stop the current economic stagnation rocking the concerned regions.
