Where can you guess Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg would go for lunch while in Kenya? You will definitely place a bet on one of the high-end hotels like Vila Rosa Kempinski or Serena, right?

Would you imagine the CEO of the biggest social site eating at a local kiosk? Well, Zuckerberg is in town and guess where he was spotted taking lunch!

Breathe in and out slowly because this is going to shock you to the core.

Zuckerberg was spotted at Mama Oliech’s eatery in Yaya Centre in the company of Information and Communication Technology Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru and Principal Secretary Victor Kaylo eating fish and ugali!

I had lunch in Nairobi with Joseph Mucheru, the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary of Information and Communications. We talked about internet access and his ambitious plans for connecting everyone in Kenya,” he posted on his Facebook page.

He gulped a generous plateful of ugali and a whole fried Tilapia and he couldn’t believe he just took the yummiest food in the world.

Okay, I ain’t bragging, that’s the truth! Mark you, Zuckerberg became a vegetarian in 2011 and vegans do not eat meat including fish! Listen to what he had to say of our local cuisine.

“We ate at a place everyone recommended -MAMA Oliech Restaurant. One of my favorite parts of traveling to a new place is trying local food. I enjoyed ugali and a whole fried tilapia for the first time and loved them both!” said Zuckerberg.

The 32-year-old internet entrepreneur and philanthropist is on a surprise visit to Kenya to meet local entrepreneurs and developers and to learn more about mobile money.
