Manchester United Striker Wayne Rooney has just broken Henry's record for the most Premier League goals at a single club. But how do their records ACTUALLY compare?

Amid all the hoopla of a Man United win at Anfield, Wayne Rooney's latest entry into the record books was almost forgotten.

The best Arsenal and Man United strikers of the Premier League era

Rooney's winner against Liverpool was his 176th Premier League goal for Man United, and saw the United skipper break the record for the most Premier League goals at a single club.

Granted, it's not a particularly iconic landmark - Rooney admitted post-match that he didn't even know about it. However, it becomes a lot more significant when you consider who held the record before him.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of United fans were quick to jump on this fact and do a spot of Gooner-goading. But what happens when you look a bit more closely at the two strikers' stats at their respective clubs?
