Tennis star Rafael Nadal backed Real Madrid's choice to appoint Zinedine Zidane as their boss. The 14-time grand slam champion said he feels that the Frenchman deserves to guide one of the most key clubs in the world.

Zidane took the charge of Los Blancos on Monday after Madrid decided to sack Rafael Benitez due to the side's recent slump in form in the La Liga.

According to the Spaniard, Real have got a perfect person to manage the club, as per the report in Sport24.

The Spaniard, however, expressed his disappointment over the dismissal of Benitez, saying that it would be tough for him to start with a new project.

Earlier, Zidane's appointment had received flurry of doubts over the Frenchman's lack of experience.
