If this picture is anything to go by, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is set to be subjected to the dreaded ‘flying banner’ treatment.

The Dutchman’s brand of football is seriously testing the Old Trafford faithful’s patience at the moment, with United succumbing to a 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth just days after crashing out of the Champions League.

We haven’t seen a banner flown over Old Trafford since the final throes of the David Moyes era, but it seems some United fans have finally had enough of their current boss.

This picture of an apparently soon-to-be-airborne banner surfaced on social media on Tuesday evening, with many fans immediately criticising its existence.

There has been some talk that the banner is a fake, although if Norwich come away from Old Trafford with all three points, the LVG out club might find themselves with a few new members…
