At the same time as Jamie Vardy was breaking records at one end of the pitch, at the opposite end Wayne Rooney was once again failing to make an impact as Manchester United drew 1-1 away at Leicester.

The England forward was subbed off for Memphis Depay in the 68th minute after failing to register a single shot on target or create any chances and many supporters began turning on their captain.

Some Red Devils fans even called for Rooney to be stripped of his captaincy and for the armband to be given to Bastian Schweinsteiger who scored at the King Power Stadium just before half-time.
The German midfielder is finding his feet in the Premier League and fans are noticing the 31-year-old’s leadership qualities on the pitch.
