Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger seems to have intended a subtle-yet-devastating swipe at Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side.

Chelsea are currently in 15th place after mounting the worst title defence in Premier League history, while Arsenal are firmly in the title hunt despite their setback at West Brom last weekend.

Wenger, though, has refused to count the Blues out of the title race, and Arsenal fans will love his reasoning.

‘Mathematically you cannot rule them [Chelsea] out – even the bottom teams are in it,’ he said.
‘It is so difficult. It is so tight and I don’t even look at the league anymore because it is very, very tight.’

Of course, there’s every chance it may not have been intentional, but we’re hoping it was.
